Alaska

Alaska is still the last great American frontier, covering an area larger than Texas, California and Montana combined yet with a population of less than 700,000. Much of the state is unspoiled wilderness - inland forests and coastline with no roads or highway system anywhere nearby. Exploring Alaska need not require a backpack, ATV or pilot's license, however. There are wilderness lodges that cater to those who want to experience the rugged, untamed outdoors yet still have a cozy abode to enjoy the evenings sipping their favorite libation by a roaring fire. Adventure by day and romantic evenings make a perfect honeymoon for couples seeking more than sand and sunshine.
