Tokyo

The Greater Tokyo Area, the world's most populous metropolitan area with 35 million people and the world's largest metropolitan economy, is located on the eastern side of the main island of Honshū. Tokyo is the capital of Japan, the seat of the Imperial Palace and the home of the Japanese Imperial Family. It is also a place where tradition is valued alongside innovation. The giant, wealthy and fascinating metropolis is where Zen temples nestle in sci-fi cityscapes. There is plenty for honeymooners to do and see including the temples of Asakusa, the gardens of the Imperial Palace (in Chiyoda) and the Meiji Shrine (in Harajuku).
