Many of my honeymoon clients prefer to indulge in the Ultra All Inclusive experience offered at three Sandals resorts here. With exchange privileges, warm and friendly St Lucian staff, golf and most any water sport you can imagine included here, why would you ever want to leave the resorts? It's a must, you've got to get out and see this "simply beautiful" island!

St Lucia spreads over 238 square miles with very mountainous terrain including rainforests and volcanoes with peaks as high as 3,145 feet. All resorts have a dedicated tour desk to help you set up excursions ranging from mountain hiking to visiting therapeutic Sulphur Springs and even a rum distillery. My suggestion is to avoid the "cattle call" experience of these tours and instead rent a car for the day and hire your own personal driver. Drivers cost a mere $25 to take you around the island over steep mountains. With driving on left and roadways hugging the cliffs, what better way to take the stress out of the adventure? You decide where you want to go and what you want to see, or let your driver handle all the details and along the way narrate your journey with quips of St Lucian history and the culture of their people. You'll see the bustling market in quaint Soufriere, a drive-in volcano, colorful fishing boats in Anse La Raye, the "Gilligan's Island" view of Marigot and the highlight of St Lucia, the Pitons. These two towering volcanic cones rise straight out of the ocean and can be seen from miles away. Your photos of Gros Piton and Petit Piton will be eternal reminders of the beauty of this unique and tropical island. Be sure to save time for a stop in Castries for shopping at one of three unique plazas.
